From our home in Roseau, Minnesota, Kåpeable Woodworks build quality custom mantelpieces, either pre-fitted for Central Fireplaces or made to order as a traditional fireplace surround. We also distribute Central Fireplaces and Central Boilers for the North Central Minnesota region. With the Kåpeability to create custom-made inlaid carvings or signage on mantels or on their own, you can have a truly one-of-a-kind piece made to order.
We can also take your manufacturing specifications and build to order jobs such as flat-pack or pre-constructed furniture. Or utilize our paint shop, which allows us to do high-quality painting batch work for your manufactured product or component.
Its all in the name.... Derived from the Norwegian word for mantel, or kåpe, Kåpeable Woodworks has the Kåpeability to provide an efficient heating solution for you that both looks and feels good.
Building on the success of its parent company, BB Diversified Services (BBDS) and Intercept Industries, Kåpeable was set up by cousins James & Tom Johnson and Dave & Mike Johnson to build upon experience of providing high-quality, precision-made components for a major Fortune 500 industrial corporation. With energy prices soaring and interest in highly efficient and/or alternative energy on the increase, we saw the opportunity to meet the demands of customers for attractive gas fireplaces and alternative central heating systems by becoming distributors for Central Fireplace and Boiler products.
But we also saw that customers wanted to attractively frame their new fireplaces and so developed our woodwork shop that produces high quality fireplace mantels not only to provide a custom fit for the highly efficient Central Fireplace fires, but also to provide customized mantelpiece solutions for traditional fireplaces, which we now produce for Central Fireplace. Choose from one of our standard models or our skilled artisans can use your individual design with CAD technology to create decorative signage that reflects your family name, favorite saying or company logo with inlaid wood or even as a 3D image!
